Of course you want to know...how much does it cost?

First and foremost, there are too many variables involved in a wedding to give a generic price quote. After a consultant addresses questions about your special day, an accurate price will be quoted. There is a laundry list of items that a couple must face when planning and preparing for the big day. Much emphasis goes into selection of the invitations, the cake, the flowers, etc. MT Sounds would like to point out a few misconceptions regarding wedding planning and budgeting in regards to the disc jockey.

"Why not a band?"
Bands are always much more expensive.
They are limited to songs they know or a certain style they specialize in, they have to take breaks throughout the night, they need more space and have much more gear that could potentially fail.

"A DJ just plays the music."
This statement / thought couldn't be more wrong!

The disc jockey is the single most important element of a wedding in regards to entertainment.

Why? The disc jockey sets the tone of the evening from the first introduction on the mic or the first song played. The DJ keeps a rhythm to the evening that allows for all of those special reception events to take place within the time allotted. Though it may not seem like a lot, a good disc jockey is alway coordinating behind the scenes, all-the-while the music never stops: is the venue lighting too bright or too dim, are the caterers ready to bring out the food, is the champagne ready to go for the toasts, where did the bride's dad go for the father daughter dance, is the bouquet available for the toss and the list goes on.

In 10 years, you will not recall how pretty the flowers were, or how great that wedding cake was...and either will your guests. But I can assure you, they will recall if they had a good time or a bad time at your wedding on account of how well the disc jockey conducted your special day. Please keep this in mind when budgeting for the big day. A beautiful table setting is a nice touch, but a table setting can't make 83 year-old grandma dance like she was 18 again...MT SOUNDS CAN AND WILL!
